Two single sided enamelled Notice signs of Coal mining interest to include: 'Not more than 20 persons are allowed to ride in each desk at a time at this pit', and 'No matches, tobacco, pipes, cigarettes or unlocked safety lamps are to be taken down this pit, by order'. Provenance: originally from Bwllfa Colliery, Aberdare. 36x60cm approx. and 44x46cm approx. (2) (B.P. 21% + VAT)
Both have general losses to the enamel around the edges, particularly around screw holes and there are some overall losses due to rusting, particularly on the blue sign. No written provenance.
